Online course on: Introduction to Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
The PhD course on "Introduction to Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning", held by Prof. Marco Lippi, will be held online starting from July 7 2020. It will touch the following topics:
- Foundations of artificial intelligence: history, general concepts and research areas.
- Machine learning paradigms: supervised, unsupervised, reinforcement learning.
- Measuring performance of machine learning systems: standard metrics, model selection, cross-validation.
- Classic machine learning algorithms: K-nearest neighbors, decision trees, support vector machines.
- A quick introduction to deep learning: from perceptrons to deep neural networks.
- Clustering algorithms and dimensionality reduction: an overview.
