Phd Course on: Digital Automation Engineering. An introduction to the Artificial Intelligence with Python

PhD course in:

"Digital Automation Engineering. An introduction to the Artificial Intelligence with Python. Applications in the industry.” (4 ETCS)

The course will be given by prof. Gerardo Fernández Escribano, from the University of Castilla - La Mancha.

All lectures will take place in presence at Laboratory G1.1, Pad. Tamburini, Campus San Lazzaro (Reggio Emilia). Due to Covid restrictions, a maximum number of 25 students will be accepted. TENTATIVE SCHEDULE

 

First week (8 hours).  Introduction to general concepts. Examples and basic exercises.

Thursday 10/02/2022, 9:00 - 13:00: Session 1 (2 hours). Basic concepts in the Artificial Intelligence field. Session 2 (2 hours). Introduction to Python.

Friday 11/02/2022, 9:00 - 13:00: Session 3 (2 hours). Programming a decision trees example with Python: supervised and unsupervised examples. Session 4 (2 hours). The data collector. Different types of data. Preparing the dataset for machine learning techniques.

Second week (8 hours). Applications of the Artificial Intelligence to industrial environments.

Monday 14/02/2022, 14:30-18:30: Session 5 (2 hours). Introduction to Python. Part II. Session 6 (2 hours). Working with real data. Tuesday 15/02/2022, 9:00 - 11:00: Session 7 (2 hours). State-of the-art in the computer-integrated manufacturing (CIM) process: machine learning approaches.

Thursday 17/02/2022, 9:00 - 11:00: Session 8 (2 hours). Final examination.
