Contents:

The course will be focused on hydrogen as an energy vector and its use in one of the most promising technologies for heat and power generation: fuel cells. Current strategies for hydrogen supply and storage will be reviewed and analyzed, with specific reference to innovative systems (e.g., hydrides). Moreover, the physicochemical mechanisms serving as functional principles for fuel cells will also be discussed, together with an overview of the available fuel-cell components, types and respective applications.
